This jam was so much fun. Lots of huge stuff got thrown down! Got to see all the new Haro bikes and meet a bunch of new locals that ride. A big turnout at both events. The South Surrey event almost got canceled because of rain. Lucky it held off until the end, and literally it did hold off till the end. When the end came, it poured! Some chainless rider was getting mad speed and throwing down some huge tricks, like a 720!
There was one kid that caught everyone's eye. He is 11 years old and his name is Anthony. I swear this kid is going to be the next big thing in bmx. He is only 11 and throwing down 360's! He is a energizer bunny, as he is full of energy and always on the go. When he falls he gets right back up. No wonder he won intermediate both days! After doing the South Surrey fence gap and flying out of the park at Bear Creek. He is nuts. Here is the little ripper, himself:
All the kids where stoked on all the prizes the sponsors mailed me. So much stuff raffled out, like disc brakes to shirts to hats to frames and fork to a whole complete 2008 Haro Bike. Frame included was a 2008 Brodie Cretin Frame and a Redline frame with a Subrosa fork, donated by 3ride! The winner of the 2008 Brodie Cretin frame was Bobby Dixon! The winner of the 2008 Haro Partial 20 was Kieran Maxwell.

I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Frogger for being the Master of Ceremonies. Great job dude! I would also like to thank Jordan for being a sick dj and coming to both events! Thanks man! Great stuff! I would like to thank the city workers who came out and sold the raffle tickets and did the registration, thanks!
I would also like to thank Andrew Summers and Paul Burnett for coming out and help judge! I would like to thank Jordan, the dj. The DJ was super nice and cool, played great music and overall was just a really cool dude. And also would like to thank them for donating the frame and complete! Thanks for coming out! Would love to do another event with you guys! I would like to thank all my sponsors for donating all the sweet stuff! I'm also going to give a big shout out to Val from Rage who gave away lots of energy drinks for the low price of nothing! I want to thank the Province Newspaper for advertising this event. I want to also thank the parents for bringing there kids to this event and supporting them when they ride! They couldn't do it with out you guys! I should know. And last but not least, I would like to thank ALL the riders for coming out and making this a success. This couldn't have gone on with out you guys riding and putting on a show!
Now lets get to the good stuff! The photos!

Ryan, I'm really impressed with how well the whole event went. From the organizers (you) to the volunteers (Surrey Rec. Department / parents / friends / judges / DJ / etc...) everything was friendly, professional and fun.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next one!
Congratulations!
