Jacks are safe, seriously. I think jack stands are not safe, the ones that you wind up with a little pole to lift the car. I rather the bigger metal jack to support a car, then one of those little dinky things. When you fix/clean your car, do it NASCAR style and go as fast as you can. Ahaha.

V-Brakes have more power then a disk brake. I bmx, and I hope on my buddies mtb with hydro brakes and they don't really compare to V-brakes on a bmx. If the v-brakes are set up properly, they'll be way better then a disc brake. Whether it's a mechanical or hydro brake.
